Q: What is the Showcase format?
A: The showcase is a full day event from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm. For 2023, the morning portion of our showcase will be geared toward adult programs and the afternoon portion will be geared towards children’s and young adult programs. * Performers are typically given a 15 minute time slot in which they can present their program(s) to the audience made up of librarians from around the county. There is a 10 minute break in between performances for setup/tear down. * Exhibits are located in the area outside of the auditorium. Exhibitors are provided with a 3′ x 6′ table on which they can display program materials and information.
Q: When is your showcase?
A: Typically our showcase is held in February or March, and is once a year.
Q: How can I be part of the showcase?
A: Please fill out the application under the Application tab. All applications that are received may be considered for the next showcase.
Q: How often can I be part of the showcase?
A: As service to our member libraries, we work to present new and different performers and programs each year. We strive not to repeat a performance for at least three years.
Q: How big is the performance space?
A: The stage for performers is shaped like a trapezoid. The back of the stage is 15′ wide while the front of the stage is 18′ wide, and the distance from the back of the stage to the front is 9 1/2 feet long. There is a 10 1/2 foot height clearance.
Q: If I am selected as a performer what do I need to bring?
A: If you are selected as a Performer the equipment varies depending on the performer. In house we have a headset and one wireless handheld microphone connected to a standard quality sound system. Our podium is equipped with a projector and windows computer *Please note that due to our limited space, performers will have a shared area to meet with librarians to discuss booking opportunities.
Q: If I am selected as an exhibitor what do I need to bring?
A: Exhibitors are provided with a table that is 3′ x 6′. Please bring a tablecloth and anything you would like to put out on display. You will have access to an electrical outlet. Please bring your own power strip and extension cord.
